Scouts Battalion Commander 1st Infantry Brigade Estonian Defence Forces

Lieutenant Colonel Madis Koosa started the service in the Estonian Defence Forces in 2001 as a conscript and currently serving as an armoured infantry battalion commander in the Scouts Battalion of the Estonian 1st Infantry Brigade. Have served a few years as a soldier and an NCO, before graduating the Estonian Military Academy in 2008. In an infantry battalion, have served on all positions from platoon leader to chief of staff. Additionally, as a chief of operations in an infantry brigade. Have been deployed three times, once to Kosovo (KFOR) and twice to Afghanistan (ISAF). In 2022 graduated The Advanced Command and Staff Course (ACSC) in the United Kingdom.
