Copilot said: COL Craig Cotner is a senior U.S. Army Air Defense Artillery officer with more than two decades of leadership experience across air and missile defence, operational command, missile defence integration, and force modernisation. Commissioned through ROTC in 2003 after earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, he has since held a wide range of tactical, operational, and strategic appointments. His military career includes service as a platoon leader, fire control officer, battery commander in both Patriot and THAAD units, battalion executive officer, and Battalion Commander of 4-3 Air Defense Artillery Battalion. He has also served in key missile defence and multinational roles, including Military Advisor in Afghanistan, Branch Chief for USNORTHCOM Ballistic Missile Defense Current Operations, and Deputy Chief of the U.S. Military Training Mission Air and Missile Division in Saudi Arabia. Currently, he serves as Director of the Fires Transformation Integration Directorate at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. COL Cotner has deployed to Qatar, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, supporting U.S. and coalition air and missile defence operations. His extensive military education and numerous awards reflect a distinguished career dedicated to advancing air and missile defence capabilities and military transformation.
