Colonel Annelie Olausson

Commander of the Swedish South Skåne Brigade Swedish Army

Colonel Annelie Olausson is the Commander of the 7th Mechanised Brigade and Södra Skånska Regiment, having assumed command in 2025 following senior appointments within the Swedish Armed Forces, including Staff Officer at Army Staff (2023–2025) and Head of Operational Planning in the Policy & Plans Department at Headquarters (2020–2023). His operational and command experience spans leadership of the 42nd Mechanized Battalion, intelligence roles at brigade and battalion level, and multiple deployments to Afghanistan, where he served in key G2 and G3 positions. He also held intelligence leadership appointments within the Nordic Battle Group and Sweden's mechanized forces. Commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in 1993 and promoted to Colonel in 2025, he is a graduate of the Swedish National Defence College's Staff Officers Course and Command Course. He is fluent in English with STANAG Level 3 proficiency.
