Brigadier General Štefan Acsai currently serves as Deputy Commander of the Slovak Land Forces, following his command of the Mechanized Brigade in Topoľčany from 2024 to 2026. With more than three decades of military service, he has held a wide range of operational, command, and staff appointments, including Commander of a Mechanized Battalion, Deputy Commander of both Mechanized and Rapid Reaction Battalions, and Chief of G3 at brigade level. His extensive international experience includes deployments with KFOR in Kosovo and ISAF in Afghanistan, where he served as National Contingent Commander, Commander of a Security Force Assistance Team (SFAT), and in senior operational planning and joint fires roles. He has also held key NATO positions, including Commander of NATO Force Integration Unit Slovakia and Branch Head for Exercise Execution at NATO Joint Force Training Centre in Poland.
