Ronnie Hammarström

Deputy Head of Strategy and Portfolio Saab (Ground Combat Business Unit)

Ronnie Hammarström holds the position of Deputy Head of Strategy and Portfolio within Saab’s Ground Combat Business Unit. He earned a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and Innovation at Lund Institute of Technology and subsequently completed a 15-month conscript service in the Swedish Artillery. With over three decades of experience in the defence industry, Ronnie has held various roles, including mechanical analyst, project manager, and, for the past 15 years, has focused on Product Management, Competition and Market Intelligence.

Throughout his career, Ronnie has been involved in driving the rapid growth of the Business Unit. He has been responsible for internal product training, ensuring that the team is well-equipped to meet the evolving demands of the market. Outside of his professional endeavours, Ronnie enjoys running, savouring good food, and appreciating fine wine.

At this seminar, Ronnie will share his insights on the critical importance of usability as a means to achieve availability and, consequently, lethality. His presentation will offer valuable perspectives, highlighting the intersection of technical innovation and operational effectiveness.
