Lieutenant Colonel Robert Barclay

LtCol Robert “Bobby” Barclay is a United States Marine Corps officer from Englewood, Florida, commissioned in 2007 after graduating from the University of Central Florida. A Low Altitude Air Defense and Aviation Command and Control Officer, he has held key leadership roles across multiple operational tours with 3d LAAD Battalion, including Platoon Commander, Battery Commander, Operations Officer, and Executive Officer, and deployed to Helmand Province, Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. His staff experience includes command roles at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego and capability development positions at Headquarters Marine Corps, where he has led work on Counter‑UAS, Ground Based Air Defense, and the LAAD occupational field. He currently serves as Branch Head for the Marine Air Command and Control System within the Aviation Combat Element Division. LtCol Barclay is a graduate of multiple advanced Marine Corps schools and holds a BA in Criminal Justice and a Master of Military Studies.
