Fredrik Wising is Senior Director Strategy and Portfolio, with main responsibilities in strategy, defense capabilities, partnerships and business development. Wising has set up and directed recent programs and partnerships in AEW&C and Future Combat Air, including Saab’s participation in NATO AFSC studies. Wising has 29 years experience from Saab / Ericsson in radar, EW and C2, with key leadership roles such as Head of Research and technology, Systems engineering, Antenna and microwave engineering, Strategic portfolio manager, and Director of Technology at Saab Inc US. Wising has a broad international network and cooperation with academia and industry and has been board member and chair of several triple-helix government-academia-industry cooperation programs, as well as 15 years as Swedish Non-Government-Expert in the European Defense Agency Working Groups on radar and EW, developing European strategies and roadmaps. Wising holds a PhD in Nuclear Fusion Plasma Physics and has held research positions at Chalmers University of Technology and Massachusetts Institute of Technology
