Major Tapio Saarelainen has participated in the Finnish Future Warrior development program since 2004 and has been actively pursuing advances in the Finnish soldier combat systems. The modernization of Finnish future dismounted warrior concepts for national defense has led to the push and fielding of new initiatives in equipment. From initial research and development to procurement, combat equipment for the dismounted soldiers have become a critical element of Finnish defense.
