Barbora Valockova is a Research Fellow at the Centre on Asia and Globalisation (CAG) within the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore. Her research sits at the intersection of international relations theory, international political economy, and regional security, with a focus on how Southeast Asian states exercise agency in navigating great power rivalry and contemporary security challenges. Her current empirical agenda spans subsea cable governance, maritime security in the South China Sea, and interregional cooperation between the EU, ASEAN, and Central Asia.
