Colonel Alexandre Dubois

Director Operational Training Infrastructure, RCAF Fighter Capability Office Royal Canadian Air Force

Colonel Alexandre Dubois is a senior Royal Canadian Air Force officer with more than three decades of military service and over 3,400 flying hours. After joining the Canadian Armed Forces in 1992 and earning his pilot wings in 1998, he built an extensive operational aviation career, primarily flying the CH146 Griffon tactical helicopter with 430 Tactical Helicopter Squadron. He also flew the CH147 Chinook and served as a flight instructor on the CT156 Harvard II. Colonel Dubois has significant operational experience both in Canada and overseas. He deployed to Kosovo (1999) and Bosnia-Herzegovina (2001) as a tactical aviation pilot and later served in Afghanistan (2009) as a CH147 Chinook pilot. He also commanded operations in demanding environments, including Operation NEVUS in the Canadian Arctic and Exercise VOLFA 21 in France. Throughout his career, he has held numerous command and leadership appointments, including Commanding Officer of 430 Tactical Helicopter Squadron, as well as roles as Deputy Commanding Officer, Flight Commander, Operations Officer, and Flight Safety Officer. His qualifications include instructor, instrument check pilot, and maintenance test pilot. Beyond flying operations, Colonel Dubois has served in key staff and liaison positions within the Royal Canadian Air Force, NATO, the United Nations mission in Haiti, and the French Air Warfare Center. He currently serves as Director Operational Training Infrastructure within the RCAF Fighter Capability Office, where he oversees the development of future training capabilities for Canada's air forces.
