IAMD Campaign Director Thales UK

With over 21 years' experience in the British Army, predominantly in Ground Based Air Defence, Nigel has commanded both Rapier and CRAM batteries. He served as Chief of Staff of the UK's Joint Ground Based Air Defence HQ (now 7th Air Defence Group) and as the GBAD Capability Sponsor when responsibility for UK GBAD sat with Air Command. During that time he represented the UK's GBAD interests at the NATO GBAD Joint Capability Group and chaired the NATO CRAM Team of Experts. Aside from Air Defence roles, he has been an Aide De Camp, a Fire Support Team Commander, held Staff appointments in Army HQ and MOD and served on operations in Afghanistan, Iraq, Cyprus and Northern Ireland. Nigel joined Industry in 2015, initially as the Business Development Director for a dynamic, high growth GBAD and CUAS-focused SME and latterly with Thales where he has led complex captures in the SHORAD, CUAS, Missile, C4I and Support domains. More recently, he has been appointed to lead Thales UK's IAMD Campaign.
