Mr. Tarazona leads the NSPA Communications, Air and Missile Defence Programme, with a responsibility to deliver NSPA’s mission in support of this family of systems, comprising multinational support of GBAD systems such as NASAMS, PATRIOT and HAWK; counter artillery systems such as TPQ-36/37, ARTHUR or COBRA and NATO’s network of NATINAMDS air surveillance radars in Europe and Turkey.
He joined the Spanish Air Force Engineering Corps in 1999 and served in the Seville Air Force Depot as Aeronautical Maintenance Production and QA Manager and until 2003, when he joined NSPA. At NSPA, Mr. Tarazona has held in the last 17 years different positions covering support and life cycle management of Air and Missile Defence Systems. His experience covers diverse areas such as supply chain management, engineering and technical support, obsolescence management, technology insertion and acquisition logistics. He has also represented NSPA in NATO Governance and Resource Committees for AirC2 and Air Surveillance capabilities.
Mr. Tarazona graduated in Aerospace Engineering with an MSc in Propulsion Systems and Missiles. He also holds an MSc in (Business) Operations and Supply Chain Management.
