With 34 years' experience in the Royal Navy, predominantly in Weapons Systems Engineering and Capability Planning, Ivor Humphrey has considerable experience serving at sea (6 Major Surface Combatants) and in a range of capability sustainment and development roles. At Sea, initially serving as a weapons technician he transferred to the Officer Corps in 1994 where he held Engineering management, Operational, Training and Capability development roles. Ivor served as the UK Exchange Officer at the US Navy's Surface Warfare Centre Dahlgren developing technical collaboration across multiple capability areas; headed the Royal Navy's Combat System Integration organisation for all surface ships setting out the Policy, Process and Organisation for integration of all weapons systems and was the Maritime lead for the Capability Planning and development of Complex Weapons in the UK MOD Centre covering the Missile and Directed Energy portfolio. Ivor joined Industry in 2016, initially in Business Development for a dynamic, high growth engineering consultancy and latterly with Thales where he has led complex captures in the Maritime Missile and Directed Energy domains.
