Lieutenant General David Hodne

Director of the Futures and Concepts Center US Army

Lieutenant General David Hodne serves as the Director of the Futures and Concepts Center within Army Futures Command. The Futures and Concepts Center is designing the future Army by developing integrated concepts and requirements, informed by experimentation, and synchronized into Army Futures Command and Army processes to drive continuous transformation.

Commissioned in the Infantry from the U.S. Military Academy in 1991, Lieutenant General Hodne holds a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Aerospace Engineering and a Master of Arts in Military Studies in Unconventional Warfare from American Military University. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and completed a U.S. Army War College Fellowship at Georgetown University.

Lieutenant General Hodne led Ranger, Stryker, Cavalry, Mechanized and Light Infantry formations, and commanded at every echelon from Company through Division. His assignments as a General Officer include Deputy Commanding General (Maneuver) for the 4th Infantry Division; Chief of Infantry, Commandant of the U.S. Army Infantry School, Director of the Soldier Lethality Cross Functional Team; Commanding General of the 4th Infantry Division and Fort Carson; and Director of the Army Transition Team.
