Yaroslav Filimonov

Chief Executive Officer Kvertus (Ukraine)

Yaroslav Filimonov is the Chief Executive Officer of Kvertus, a Ukrainian defence technology company specialising in advanced counter-drone and electronic warfare (EW) systems. A graduate of the Military Institute of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Yaroslav began his career as an officer-psychologist in an electronic warfare regiment, gaining first-hand experience with battlefield EW operations. In 2020, he joined Kvertus as operations director and later became a partner of the company’s founder, Andrii Znaychenko. When Russia launched its full-scale invasion in 2022, Yaroslav returned to Ukraine to lead Kvertus on the ground. He oversaw the rapid scaling of production and delivery of cutting-edge anti-drone rifles and radio-electronic reconnaissance systems directly to frontline units. Under his leadership, Kvertus has expanded its R&D and manufacturing capabilities, focusing on Ukrainian-designed microelectronics and EW solutions to reduce foreign dependence. Its latest systems now detect and neutralise enemy drones faster and across wider frequency bands than global analogues, delivering a decisive advantage to allied forces.
