Augmenting Coast Guard Capabilities through enhanced Cooperation & Technology Adoption

COAST GUARD CAPABILITY 2024

Increasingly, civilians rely on our coast guards to keep us safe at sea, protect our borders and prevent abhorrent human and drug-trafficking. Yet, we find our coast guards are having to achieve these objectives with ever increasing limitations on the access to essential resources and capabilities required for them to achieve mission success.

Understanding this challenge, Coast Guard Capability 2024 provides a forum to help coast guards and related maritime organisations address these concerns and achieve mission success. Collaboration, be it interagency or international, is one of the fundamental strategies with which we can improve access to the necessary capabilities and make best use of capabilities we have in our arsenal.

Focusing on Interoperability, Search and Rescue, Border Security and Resource Protection this conference aims to improve inter-agency and international cooperation as well as provide an opportunity to meet with industry leaders providing the next generation of specialist equipment. At Coast Guard Capability 2024, we will hear briefs from the heads of younger coast guards from countries such as Cayman Islands, Kenya and Latvia. These briefs will help us understand how these coast guards are building from the ground up to integrate interagency collaboration into their very organisation structure. We will also hear from the more established Coast Guards in the U.S, UK and EU to understand how these nations are working together to standardise their capabilities to improve collaboration through interoperability.

Join this forum to meet with international colleagues, discuss current challenges and develop well-defined future propriety areas, as well as share case-studies and take part in the critical discussion for maritime organisations.
