Colonel Sylvain Debarre

Director NATO Space Centre of Excellence

A graduate of the French Air and Space Force Academy (2001) and of the French Aerospace engineering school ISAE-SUPAERO, Colonel Sylvain Debarre began his career in Mirage 2000 maintenance squadrons. As an aerospace propulsion expert, he balanced academic roles with operational responsibilities within the Strategic Air Command, including deployments to Lithuania, Chad, and the UAE. Following his command of the Boeing K/C135 maintenance squadron and the German Command and Staff College Course, he was appointed Director of the NATO Space Centre of Excellence in August 2023. He is a Knight of the Legion of Honor and the National Order of Merit.
