Commodore David Wolfe of the British Royal Navy serves as the Director of Knowledge Management for NATO Allied Joint Force Command in Lisbon. In this directive and open chat, he talks about the steps taken (and those required) to further counteract piracy operations off the Horn of Africa. The Gulf of Aden depends on an internationally recognised transit corridor, established with the participation of NATO, as of 2009. Their mission will require positioning patrols effectively along this 'motorway' - in effect, 'squeezing the balloon'.
