Going into defence procurement news overdrive, the MoD is expected to announce a £350 million deal for the design of a new Trident nuclear submarine system later this week, according to the Financial Times.The current Vanguard-class submarines, of which the UK has four, were due to be replaced in 2022 but this is now likely to be pushed back following another Strategic Defence and Security Review in 2015.
