Vice President Business Development & Strategic Communication of Quantum Systems

Matthias Lehna is the Director of Business Development & Government Relations in the Quantum Systems. With a strong military background and extensive experience in international missions, including NATO and UN deployments, Matthias Lehna possesses a deep understanding of the critical role of unmanned systems in high pressure situations. His field experience provides him with a unique perspective on technology's impact on real-world operations. Currently, Matthias focuses on advancing European technological sovereignty and strengthening the continent's autonomy in tech innovation. In his role with Quantum-Systems company supporting operations in Ukraine, he consistently assesses the resilience and effectiveness of products in actual combat scenarios, ensuring their operational relevance and reliability.

Managing Director of Quantum Frontline Industries

Matthias also serves as Managing Director of Quantum-Frontline Industries, the first German-Ukrainian joint venture in the unmanned systems sector. In this role, he contributes to strengthening industrial cooperation between Ukraine and Europe and supports the integration of battlefield-proven Ukrainian drone expertise with European defense technology capabilities.

Education & Background

Matthias holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree from the University of the Bundeswehr in Munich. He has gained extensive international experience through assignments such as the NATO Persistence Presence in Estonia in 2016 and the UN Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) from 2017 to 2018. Matthias serves as a Reserve Officer, holding the rank of Major, and contributes his expertise to the Cyber Innovation Hub of the Bundeswehr.
