Lieutenant Colonel Paul Cooper
Commanding Officer, Army Trials Unit, Experimentation and Trials Group British Army
Lieutenant Colonel Paul Cooper is the Commanding Officer of the British Army Trials Unit, part of the Experimentation and Trials Group. With his regiment, he has commanded up to company level, and served on operations in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Estonia. On the staff, Lieutenant Colonel Cooper has served at Dstl, the MOD, and the Defence Academy. Lieutenant Colonel Cooper holds a master’s degree in Physics from the University of Oxford, a master’s degree in Battlespace Technology from Cranfield University, an MBA from the University of Northampton, and a doctorate in Quantum Physics from the University of Manchester. He is a recent graduate of the French Ecole de Guerre.
