Deputy, Global Strategic Growth and Business Development CAE Defence & Security

Jim is the Deputy, Global Strategic Growth and Business Development for CAE's Defense and Security business unit and is attached to the Washington D.C. office. Jim leads and synchronizes Defense and Security's strategic growth across CAE's global regions and across five domains. He leads the integration of multifaceted solutioning into CAE's global business development, and is responsible for the development and implementation of CAE’s global strategy for unmanned systems.

Jim is a 26-year veteran of the United States Air Force, where he held a variety of key staff and command positions including joint expertise in Department of Defense acquisition and foreign military sales.

He is a command pilot with over 3,500 flying hours with training, test, and operational experience in fighters, bombers, and remotely piloted aircraft. In his last assignment, Jim was the Commander of a new joint multi-domain operations center fusing air, space, and cyber capabilities to direct global unmanned aircraft operations on behalf of the Secretary of Defense.

Jim is a graduate of the prestigious US Air Force Weapons School and was a member of the US Air Force Acquisition Corps. Jim holds Bachelor’s Degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Political Science from Duke University and three Master’s Degrees
