maximising the proficiency of our airmen in our quest for air dominance

With airspace becoming increasingly contested, near-peer competitors' training capability is advancing at an unprecedented rate. In the current dynamic and unpredictable security environment, air forces must work together to maximise the proficiency and readiness of military aircrew for the future fight.

Over the course of three days, Military Flight Training 2024 will focus on key FY24 programmes, agile procurement and acquisition, critical technologies and future pilot training and operational conversion training to prepare pilots and drive lethality and survivability.

New topics for 2024 include:
    • Emerging technologies, methods, and approaches to prepare aircrews for the next generation of rotorcraft, multi-engine and combat aircraft
    • Training requirements across NATO for the current and future mission set including SEAD/DEAD, Air-to-Air Refuelling, and Electronic Warfare
    • Efforts to reduce procurement and acquisition timelines to ensure readiness in contested environments
    • Lessons observed from exercises such as Air Defender, Arctic Challenge and Mobility Guardian
Attracting 250+ leaders from across the flight training ecosystem from over 40 nations, Military Flight Training takes place at a time where guaranteeing air dominance and strike capability has never been tougher.
