Access near real time global monitoring of the oceans, where and when you need it. Capella Space provides the most frequent and timely Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imagery for monitoring change on Earth, with resolutions under one meter. With flexible imaging modes, hourly refresh, and low latency ordering from tasking to downlink to delivery, Capella Space offers a new experience for high resolution earth observation, monitoring, and surveillance.
SAR is a remote sensing technology for persistent global surveillance. Since the first NASA deployment in the 1970’s, space-based SAR has worked to complement and enhance optical imaging by revealing conditions on the ground through clouds, smoke, haze, fog and darkness. SAR reliably detects and maps objects and changing conditions on the earth’s surface, providing valuable global insights and information for government and commerce. Capella’s 36 satellite SAR constellation will begin operation in 2020.
