Understand. Adapt. Overcome. Rarely has a conference strap-line resonated as much.
After consultation with the Royal Marines the decision has been taken to postpone the London Future Amphibious Forces conference until 18-20 May 2021.
In the interim, we will be hosting a day of interactive online discussions on 1 December.
These discussions are planned around the panel discussions, which were due to take place at the conference and cover; connectors, command and control, and maritime special operations.
Although not a replacement for the conference, these online discussions will bring together subject matter experts and strategic leaders to discuss some of the most pertinent issues, they will maintain momentum in the topics for the conference, and help refine some of the ideas that will then be further discussed in May.
By May 2021 we anticipate such an international gathering will be possible. We want to ensure that meeting is as precise and on-target a forum as possible. One which will merit travel at a time when there will no doubt still be a heightened sense of awareness, caution and the need to take precautions. Furthermore the UK’s Future Commando Force Programme will be at another opportune time for public discussion.
Hosted with the support of the Royal Marines our priority remains to deliver a high-quality conference in May that can deliver meaningful outcomes to all participants. Our December online forum is an important step towards achieving that goal.
