Lieutenant General Raymond P. Palumbo (Ret) was the Pentagon’s Director for Defense Intelligence where he simultaneously led the department’s Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Surveillance Task Force, a position that was instrumental in rapidly delivering critical aviation platforms, sensors, communication systems, and information processing capabilities to US and Coalition warfighters in Afghanistan, Iraq, and elsewhere around the globe.
Now a retired US Army Lieutenant General, he spent the last thirty-four years leading and managing both special and conventional operations forces during peacetime and in combat. Notably, General Palumbo served as the Assistant Commanding General of the Joint Special Operations Command, and as Deputy Commanding General of the United States Army Special Operations Command.
