Lieutenant Colonel Melissa Elledge is the Product Manager, Mobile Electric Power Systems (MEPS), responsible for integrating tactical and prime electric power generation and distribution systems solutions and capabilities for the United States Department of Defense. As part of Program Executive Office Combat Support and Combat Service Support, the MEPS mission is to develop, acquire and champion standardized DoD mobile electric power solutions that reduce sustainment demand across the range of Joint operations and increase interoperability for all U.S. Armed Services. Throughout her career, LTC Elledge has held significant positions of responsibility and led teams from the tactical to strategic level. Most recently she was assigned as the Group Chief for the Acquisition Support Group, Mission Integration Directorate at the National Reconnaissance Office in support of national and tactical intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, networking, software, hardware development. She also served at Program Executive Office Soldier, Fort Belvoir, Virginia where she managed the Body Armor Soldier Protection System portfolio, and Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS) Production and Manufacturing portfolio. LTC Elledge served as a Congressional Fellow to the Arizona-08 Congressional District, followed by an assignment to the Army’s Office of the Chief of Legislative Affairs’ Programs Division, with responsibility for the Missile, Space, and Soldier Systems portfolios. LTC Elledge holds a Master of Science from Missouri State University in Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction, a Master’s in Legislative Affairs from George Washington University, and a Master of Business Administration, International Business from Regis University.
