Jennifer Vidler is a Senior Civil Servant and Deputy Director for Commercial Operations at the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO). She oversees commercial operations for the infrastructure commercial function, leading work on supplier relationship management, digital transformation, people, and finance, and aligning this with central NAD and wider Defence Commercial transformation priorities. Jennifer began her Civil Service career on the Fast Stream programme, gaining broad early experience across government and progressing into senior leadership roles in operational delivery. Previously, Jennifer was Deputy Director for Visa Status and Information at the Home Office, leading around 450 staff and overseeing services enabling approximately four million people to enter the UK each year. Her remit included multi-billion-pound supplier contracts, procurement programmes, and major operational delivery across international environments. She has delivered large-scale operational and system transformation across government, with experience spanning the Home Office, DWP, education, and defence.
