Dave Aldridge

Head of Estates DSTL - UK MoD

Dave Aldridge joined Dstl in 1998, beginning his career in Finance with responsibility for implementing and supporting the organisation's Oracle and PeopleSoft Finance systems. After more than a decade developing expertise in financial systems and service delivery, he transferred into the Estates function in 2011. Since then, Dave has held a variety of roles across Estates, contributing to the operational management, planning and delivery of services that support Dstl's diverse and complex estate. His broad experience, collaborative approach and strong understanding of organisational needs led to his appointment as Interim Head of Estates in January 2024. He secured the permanent position in March 2025. As Head of Estates, Dave is accountable for ensuring the physical estate is fit for purpose, operational, compliant, safe and secure. He leads the strategic direction and oversight of estates services, enabling Dstl's people, capabilities and mission to thrive within a well-managed and resilient estate.
