Countering UAS: Why techniques and tactics matter as much as the solutions
The threat of UAS requires the militaries to adapt their strategy and think of new ways to mitigate the risk they pose on the battlefield. There is not only a need to procure the right solutions, but also to integrate them fully into the existing troops to maximise their counter-uas potential.
Ahead of the second annual Counter-UAS conference, Defence IQ had the opportunity to discuss with Lieutenant Colonel Luis Algara, Chief of Department of Tactics, Techniques and Gunnery at the Artillery School of the Spanish Army and speaker at the event, on why tactics, techniques and the full integration of those in the counter-uas strategy matter as much as the technical solution itself.
