General Campo began his career in 1984. He was promoted to 1st Lieutenant in 1989. He has served as Platoon and Company Commander in several Artillery Units and as teacher in the Royal Artillery Military Academy (Segovia). He attended the Spanish Joint Staff Course 2000-2002, starting his staff career in the Spanish Rapid Reaction Forces HQ, following several appointments in the Artillery Command HQ and Army Staff, Operations Branch. He has participated in deployments in Bosnia and Lebanon (UNPROFOR 1994; SFOR 2003; UNIFIL 2008). He was appointed as MA to HM the King Juan Carlos I after this last deployment. He has commanded the Artillery Battalion of the Legion Brigade and the 11th Artillery Regiment. Currently General Campo is the Secretary General, Army Logistics Command.
