Group Captain John Grime

Commanding Officer of 92 Wing Royal Australian Air Force

Group Captain John Grime laterally transferred to the Royal Australian Air Force in 2004 following 19 years’ service with the Royal Air Force. Following conversion to the AP-3C Orion aircraft, he was deployed to the Middle East, Northern Australia and the South China Sea. After completion of the Australian Command and Staff course, he was promoted and selected for command of Number 11 Squadron. In 2016,  he assumed the role of Director DDAAFS and was appointed as Officer Commanding 92 Wing in 2018.

Group Captain Grime is married to Caroline and his interests include road cycling and running and he is a qualified, but inexperienced, rugby union referee.
