24 - 26 March, 2020
Cartagena de Indias, Colombia

Hosted by the Barbados Defence Force

Why Attend CABSEC & SAMSEC 2019?

Hosted by the Barbados Defence Force, the annual CABSEC and SAMSEC combined forum will bring together key players involved in Caribbean and South American security at the Hilton Hotel, Barbados, 26-28 March.

This year's theme is focussed on “Promoting Regional Cooperation and Countering Transnational Threats”.

Here are a few reasons you should attend this elite forum:

  1. It's the only event where senior defence, security and industry leaders can discuss challenges in the region and debate technical and practical solutions. Limited to 130-150 places you will not be lost in the crowd but have an opportunity to meet with and understand shared challenges. (view a previous year's sample attendee list)
  2. 2019's event is formal supported by the Barbados Defence Force. The last time the conference was hosted in Barbados was 2014 and we are delighted to return to the political capital of the Eastern Caribbean. This provides an opportunity to meet with RSS, CARICOM IMPACS, CDEMA and many other organisations based on the island
  3. Find out how industry can assist Governments to deliver a multidimensional approach to security with presentations from senior decision makers from many nations in the Caribbean and Latin America (view the full speaker line up)
  4. Visit the facilities of the Barbados Defence Force and the multi-national coordination cell (MNCCC) as well as air assets of RSS and the Defence Force to understand the capabilities and possibilities for greater regional cooperation
