Why SIDM is coming

The newly formed Society of Defence Manufacturers (SIDM) is a key partner and strong supporter of the Armoured Vehicles India conference. As major procurement programmes are underway in the armoured vehicles space, the aim of the SIDM is to simplify the process and eliminate risks for foreign companies to get involved in it through a 'Strategic Partnership Model'. Our chairman is Lieutenant General Subrata Saha, PVSM, UYSM, YSM, VSM** (Retd) and Secretary & Director General of the organisation. Here he explains all about the SIDM: from its creation, to the support it provides for both local and international industry and his advice for foreign companies wishing to bidding for business in India.
