The ASTM Additive Manufacturing Centre of Excellence (AM CoE) brings together industry, government, and academia to optimise the AM R&D and standards development processes. By tightly coupling these processes, standards get into the hands of those who need them faster, drastically reducing AM time to market and increasing widespread adoption. The AM CoE is driven and powered by ASTM International, a world leading standard development organisation, and has a growing AM team of experts across many fields. The ASTM F42 Committee for Additive Manufacturing can leverage the AM CoE as a platform to conduct research and fill these gaps, and F42 consensus is required for selecting which projects are the priority. F42 currently has over 1000 members worldwide.
