Dr Thomas R Shelley, Ph.D., M.A., M.I.M.M.M., C.Eng., F.S.O.E., F.I.Plant.E. Director Technology and Development, Blast Absorption Systems. Dr Shelley graduated with a First in Part II Metallurgy from the University of Cambridge in 1967, and obtained his Ph.D., from the same institution in 1970. After a three year Emmanuel College research fellowship, spent developing the Arc Electrolysis process, he taught at as an assistant professor in Iran and the United States and was in charge of research for the UK engineering company Blaw Knox from 1979 to 1984.
