The Indian Navy has a tender for a Multi-Role Helicopter (MRH) to replace the Navy’s ageing Sea King fleet. The competition comes down to two finalists, based on either side of the Atlantic: a maritime variant of the European-built NH90 (likely to be the NATO frigate helicopter configuration) from NH Industries and the US-made SH-60 Seahawk from Sikorsky, otherwise known as the S-70B.
