U.K. MoD Cuts Spy-jet Programmes

The U.K. MoD has decided that five ISTAR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance) programmes are to be cancelled, cut back or postponed. The cuts include: Cancellation of three of the new Nimrod MRA4 surveillance aircraft, which will replace the Nimrod MR2, to save £100m.
