Dutch Seek to Modify Entire Apache Fleet

The Netherlands plans to upgrade its entire inventory of Boeing AH-64D Apache Longbow attack helicopters to the U.S. Army’s Block II configuration, under a deal worth more than $180 million. If approved, the Foreign Military Sales programme will cover the delivery by Boeing of 29 aircraft modification kits, plus spare parts, personnel training and other services. The Dutch defence ministry is expected to later modify its Apaches to the U.S. Army’s new Block III operating standard.
