Australia to Follow Canada With Afghan Heron Service

Canada’s MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates (MDA) has signed a contract to supply Australia with surveillance services in Afghanistan using leased Israel Aerospace Industries Heron unmanned air vehicles. Ottawa began using the system in Afghanistan earlier this year under a two-year lease agreement.
