Augusta-Westland Wins 100-Helicopter Algerian Order

Anglo-Italian helicopter manufacturer Agusta-Westland has won a follow-on order from Algeria for up to 100 rotorcraft to meet the North African country’s battlefield and internal security requirements. It follows on from a 2007 deal to supply six AW101 Merlin search-and-rescue and four Super Lynx Mk 130 surveillance helicopters.
