His comments here on government service are less elusive than I imagined they would be. It remains to be seen if Baroness Nevill-Jones' tenure will be as effective as her predecessor's. I think there's a risk of her having to rely on advisors almost entirely, whereas I felt like Lord West was involved first hand in the issues he was addressing. - the Editor
